Have you heard of Acai berries? They are the fruit of a palm tree (Euterpe oleracea) that grows in flood plains of the Amazon basin. These tiny purple berries are highly nutritious, and have been a staple part of the Brazilian diet for centuries.
Amongst other nutritional highlights, they are exceptionally rich in a group of antioxidant compounds called anthocyanins, and also contain omega-3, -6 and -9 fatty acids, fibre, minerals and vitamins. These acai berries are considered an energising superfood!

Thank you Terasa for this information. I always used to pronounce it as AKAI rather than ASAI. Now while selling Acai Berry Juice I can pronounce its name correctly.
