Red Fruity Blend For An Immune Boost

Consumption of juices or blends on a regular basis is a good way to stay healthy. Juices or blends that are freshly made at home are known have a more potent source of nutrients compared to ready-made ones that you buy from the supermarket. Freshly-made juices and blends definitely tastes better! You can also be creative and include different combinations of fruits/vegetables to your mixture. It is known that antioxidants found in fruits and vegetables work most effectively when they are consumed together.

One of my favorite fruits are strawberries and watermelon, which are good sources of vitamin C. So I will share a simple recipe for making this delicious healthy blend. I call this the "Red Fruity Blend". To help with improving your digestive system, I recommend adding a teaspoon of In-liven into this blend. (click here)

INGREDIENTS
200g strawberries
90g red grapes
1 small wedge of watermelon.
1 teaspoon In-liven
For decoration: extra strawberry halves and chunks of watermelon

Makes 2 glasses

METHOD:
1) Hull the strawberries and halve them if they are large. Pull the grapes from their stalks. Remove the skin and seeds from watermelon.
2) Put the watermelon, strawberries, and grapes into the blender or food processor. Blend until completely smooth. Scrape mixture down from the side of the bowl, if necessary.
3) Serve in tall glasses.

ENJOY!
